Stuffed Shells with Chicken and Garlic Butter

A delicious recipe for stuffed shells filled with chicken and drizzled in garlic butter.

  • 12 large jumbo pasta shells
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 4 tablespoons garlic butter
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the jumbo shells according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, ricotta, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic butter, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stuff each cooked shell with the chicken mixture.
  5. Spread marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Place stuffed shells in the baking dish and top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until heated through and cheese is bubbly.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add some red pepper flakes to the filling.
  • Make ahead by assembling the shells and refrigerating them before baking.
