Slow Cooker Steak with Onion Gravy and Baby Potatoes

Deliciously tender slow cooker steak simmered in a rich onion gravy and served with baby potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef steak
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 4 cups baby potatoes
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the beef steak on both sides until browned.
  2. Place the sliced onions in the slow cooker.
  3. Add the seared steak on top of the onions.
  4. Add baby potatoes around the steak.
  5. In a bowl, mix beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Pour over the steak and potatoes.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the steak is tender.
  7. Once cooked, remove the steak and potatoes, and thicken the gravy if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the steak overnight.
  • Serve with fresh parsley for garnish.
