Saucy Homestyle Crockpot Pepper Steak Loaded with Juicy Beef Sweet Peppers and Onions

Deliciously tender beef combined with vibrant bell peppers and onions, all cooked to perfection in a crockpot.

  • 2 pounds beef steak
  • 2 sweet bell peppers
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Heat the cooking oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Brown the beef steak on all sides.
  3. Place the beef in the crockpot along with the sliced bell peppers and onion.
  4. In a bowl, mix together the beef broth, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper; pour over the beef and vegetables.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the beef is tender.
  6. Before serving, combine cornstarch with a little water to make a slurry; stir into the crockpot to thicken the sauce.
