Polish Sausage Sauerkraut And Potatoes Crockpot

A hearty and comforting dish that combines Polish sausage, sauerkraut, and potatoes, all cooked in a crockpot for an easy meal.

  • 1 pound Polish sausage
  • 2 cups sauerkraut
  • 4 cups potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Layer the diced potatoes in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Add the chopped onion over the potatoes.
  3. Place the Polish sausage on top of the onions.
  4. Pour the sauerkraut over the sausage and season with caraway seeds, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until potatoes are tender.

Notes

  • This dish can be served with fresh bread or rolls.
  • For a richer flavor, consider adding a tablespoon of mustard.
