Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit until frothy.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix flour and salt. Slowly add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Knead until smooth.
  3. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Roll out the dough and fill with pepperoni and mozzarella. Fold and seal the edges.
  6. Place calzones on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Serve with marinara sauce.

Notes

  • For a golden crust, brush the calzones with olive oil before baking.
  • Add your favorite vegetables for extra flavor!
