- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 cup pepperoni slices
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce for dipping
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit until frothy.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour and salt. Slowly add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Knead until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the dough and fill with pepperoni and mozzarella. Fold and seal the edges.
- Place calzones on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve with marinara sauce.
