- 9 cups Chex cereal
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup red candy melts
- 1 cup blue candy melts
Instructions
- In a large bowl, measure out Chex cereal and set aside.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
- Mix in vanilla extract.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the Chex cereal and carefully mix until every piece is coated.
- Transfer the mixture to a large zip-top bag and add powdered sugar. Seal and shake until all pieces are coated.
- Spread the coated cereal on a baking sheet to cool.
- Melt red and blue candy melts separately, then drizzle them over the cooled Chex mix.
- Allow to set, then break into pieces and serve.
