Oven-Baked Cabbage Burgers

A delicious and healthy alternative to traditional burgers, these oven-baked cabbage burgers are packed with flavor and nutrients.

Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the cabbage by removing the outer leaves and carefully cutting out the core.
  3. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crisp, then chop.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté the diced onion and garlic until translucent.
  5. In a bowl, mix the ground turkey, chopped turkey bacon, sautéed onion, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  6. Form patties from the mixture and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Cut cabbage into ‘buns’ and place a turkey patty in between two cabbage leaves.
  8. Drizzle with olive oil and top with cheese if desired.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the turkey is fully cooked.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add your favorite spices to the turkey mixture.
  • These burgers can be served with various toppings, such as avocado or salsa.
