Holiday Red Velvet Cookies

Festive red velvet cookies topped with a Hershey’s Kiss, perfect for holidays like Christmas and Valentine’s Day.

Ingredients

– 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 tbsp cocoa powder
– 1 tsp baking soda
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 1 cup sugar
– 1 large egg
– 1 tbsp red food coloring
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 1/2 cup powdered sugar
– 30 Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
4. Add egg, red food coloring, and vanilla; mix well.
5. Gradually mix in dry ingredients.
6. Roll dough into 1 tbsp-sized balls, coat in powdered sugar.
7. Bake on parchment-lined sheet for 10-12 minutes.
8. Press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie while warm. Cool before serving.

Notes

– Chill dough for 30 minutes to prevent spreading.
– Use colored sugar for different occasions.
