Garlic Butter Surf and Turf Loaded Rice Skillet

A delicious and hearty one-skillet meal combining flavors of garlic butter, surf, and turf over a bed of rice.

  • 1 cup rice
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 pound shrimp, cleaned and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook rice according to package instructions.
  2. In a large skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and chop.
  3. In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant.
  4. Add shrimp, paprika, salt, and pepper; cook until shrimp turns pink.
  5. Mix in the cooked rice and turkey bacon; stir well.
  6. Top with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the dish before serving.
