Gather Your Ingredients

The first step in creating Cheesy Chicken Alfredo Tortilla Roll Ups is to gather all your ingredients. This not only saves time but also makes the cooking process smoother and more enjoyable. Here’s what you’ll need:

• Soft flour tortillas (8-10 typically work well)
• Cooked chicken (you can use shredded rotisserie chicken for ease)
• Cream cheese (8 oz, softened)
• Alfredo sauce (about 1 cup, store-bought or homemade)
• Shredded mozzarella cheese (1-2 cups)
• Parmesan cheese (for an extra cheesy flavor, optional)
• Seasoning (think garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt)
• Turkey bacon (optional, but recommended for a delicious crunch)

Prepare the Tortillas and Sauce

Next, it’s time to prepare the tortillas and sauce. If you're using flour tortillas, make sure they're at room temperature; this helps them roll without cracking. If you want to heat them slightly, popping them in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds works wonders.

For the sauce, if you prefer homemade, a classic approach involves combining heavy cream, butter, and parmesan cheese in a saucepan over low heat until you have that thick, creamy texture. This article on making Alfredo sauce from scratch offers a great step-by-step guide.

Assemble the Filling

Now for the fun part—assembling the filling! In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, Alfredo sauce, and seasonings. Feel free to toss in some cooked and crumbled turkey bacon for added flavor and texture. Mix well until everything is evenly coated and combined; the cream cheese should help bind it all together, creating a deliciously creamy filling.

Roll and Slice the Tortillas

With your filling ready, it's time to put everything together! Take a tortilla and place about 2-3 tablespoons of the filling along one edge. Gently roll the tortilla tightly, starting from the edge with the filling. When you're finished, use a sharp knife to slice the roll-up into bite-sized pieces, about 1-2 inches wide. The result will be perfectly portioned pieces, easy for dipping or just popping in your mouth.

Serve or Store the Roll-Ups

Once your Cheesy Chicken Alfredo Tortilla Roll Ups are ready, you can serve them up immediately, or store them for later! If you’re serving guests, arrange them on a platter with delicious dipping options like marinara sauce or extra Alfredo sauce for that ultimate cheesy experience.

If you choose to prepare them ahead of time, wrap them tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate. These roll-ups last well for a few days, making them an awesome meal prep option. Don’t forget to share your creations on social media; after all, nothing brings people together like good food!
