  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup apple pie filling
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Add warm milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread apple pie filling, and sprinkle cinnamon.
  6. Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
  7. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar and milk; drizzle over warm rolls.

Notes

  • For a sweeter glaze, add more powdered sugar.
  • These rolls are best served warm.
