A delicious and simple recipe for making beef and broccoli in a slow cooker.

  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, combine beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, and garlic.
  2. Add the sliced flank steak to the slow cooker and stir to combine.
  3. Cook on low for 4-6 hours or until beef is tender.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, add broccoli florets to the slow cooker.
  5. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry, then add to the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.
  6. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the beef overnight.
  • Use fresh broccoli for best results.
