A creamy, citrusy homemade Mountain Dew ice cream that’s fun, refreshing, and perfect for summer dessert lovers!
2 cups (480 ml) heavy cream, chilled
1 cup (240 ml) whole milk, chilled
¾ cup (150 g) granulated sugar
Pinch of salt
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 cup (240 ml) flat Mountain Dew, cold
In a large bowl, whisk together sugar and salt with milk until fully dissolved.
Stir in heavy cream and vanilla extract.
Add flat Mountain Dew and mix until smooth.
Cover and chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Pour into an ice cream maker and churn for 20–25 minutes until soft-serve consistency.
Transfer to a freezer-safe container, press parchment over the top, and freeze for 4 hours or until firm.
Let sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before scooping and serving.
Ensure soda is completely flat before using to avoid icy texture.
Optional: Add food coloring or lime zest for color and freshness.
Can be made with sweetened condensed milk for a no-churn version.
