  • 1/4 cup (25g) diced jalapeños (optional, for added heat)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup (50g) crispy turkey bacon bits (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the Sausage:
    • In a skillet, cook the beef sausage over medium heat, breaking it into small crumbles as it cooks.
    • Cook until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat and set the sausage aside to cool slightly.
  • Mix the Dip Base:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
    • Stir until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • Add Cheese and Sausage:
    • Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese, shredded mozzarella, and cooled sausage until evenly combined.
  • Add Green Onions and Jalapeños:
    • Stir in the chopped green onions and jalapeños, if using.
    • Taste and adjust the seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
  • Transfer and Bake:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Transfer the dip mixture into a baking dish (9×9-inch or similar) and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Bake:
    • Bake the dip for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
  • Garnish and Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with crispy turkey bacon bits if desired.
    • Serve hot with chips, crackers, or fresh veggies for dipping.
