For the Brussels Sprouts:
1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon honey
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
For the Turkey Bacon:
6 slices thick-cut turkey bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
For the Glaze:
¼ cup maple syrup
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
Preheat Oven: Set oven to 425°F (220°C).
Prepare Brussels Sprouts: Toss halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, honey, salt, and black pepper. Spread evenly on a baking sheet.
Cook Turkey Bacon: Arrange turkey bacon pieces on a separate baking sheet.
Roast: Roast both sheets in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, flipping once halfway, until the Brussels sprouts are tender and the turkey bacon is crispy.
Make the Glaze: In a bowl, whisk together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, balsamic vinegar, and optional red pepper flakes.
Combine: Toss the roasted Brussels sprouts and turkey bacon with the glaze. Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra spice, increase red pepper flakes.
Substitute turkey bacon with chicken ham or plant-based bacon for dietary preferences.
Ensure the sprouts are dry before roasting to prevent steaming.
