Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Brussels Sprouts:
    • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 tablespoon honey
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • For the Turkey Bacon:
    • 6 slices thick-cut turkey bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • For the Glaze:
    • ¼ cup maple syrup
    • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
    • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
    • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Set oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Prepare Brussels Sprouts: Toss halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, honey, salt, and black pepper. Spread evenly on a baking sheet.
  • Cook Turkey Bacon: Arrange turkey bacon pieces on a separate baking sheet.
  • Roast: Roast both sheets in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, flipping once halfway, until the Brussels sprouts are tender and the turkey bacon is crispy.
  • Make the Glaze: In a bowl, whisk together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, balsamic vinegar, and optional red pepper flakes.
  • Combine: Toss the roasted Brussels sprouts and turkey bacon with the glaze. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra spice, increase red pepper flakes.
  • Substitute turkey bacon with chicken ham or plant-based bacon for dietary preferences.
  • Ensure the sprouts are dry before roasting to prevent steaming.
