Heavenly Cinnamon Roll Breadtwists

Flaky and sweet breadtwists filled with a gooey cinnamon-sugar mixture and topped with a luscious vanilla glaze. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert!

For the Breadtwists:

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent dough
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)

For the Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Unroll crescent dough and press seams to form a single sheet.
  • Brush melted butter over the dough and sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Slice dough into 1-inch strips, twist them, and arrange on the baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle with brown sugar and optional pecans. Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden brown.
  • Cool slightly, then drizzle with the prepared vanilla glaze.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra crunch, add pecans or swap them with walnuts or almonds.
  • These breadtwists can be prepared in advance and stored in the freezer.
  • Adjust glaze consistency with more or less milk as needed.
