For the Cupcakes: Flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, butter, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, buttermilk, hot coffee, blackberries.
For the Frosting: Butter, powdered sugar, blackberry purée, vanilla extract, heavy cream.
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C), line a cupcake pan.
2. Mix dry ingredients (flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt).
3. Cream butter & sugar, add eggs, vanilla, and mashed blackberries.
4. Alternate adding dry ingredients & buttermilk, mix gently, stir in hot coffee.
5. Bake for 18-20 minutes, cool.
6. Make frosting by beating butter, sugar, blackberry purée, vanilla; adjust consistency with cream.
7. Frost cupcakes & serve.
