- 2 tbsp light brown sugar
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- 6 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
- 1 lb thinly sliced deli roast beef
- 4 onion hamburger buns
- In a bowl, whisk ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire, garlic powder, and onion powder to make the red ranch sauce.
- In a saucepan, melt butter, stir in flour, then whisk in milk. Simmer until thick, then add cheddar cheese and stir until smooth.
- Bring beef broth to a simmer, add beef slices, and warm for 1–2 minutes. Remove and drain.
- Lightly butter and toast the buns in a skillet or oven.
- Spread red ranch sauce on the bottom bun, layer with beef, drizzle cheese sauce, and top with the other half.
