Cinnamon-Sugar Air Fryer Banana Chips

Crispy, lightly sweetened banana chips coated in cinnamon-sugar and air-fried to perfection. A quick and healthy snack that’s perfect for satisfying sweet cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe but firm bananas (peeled and thinly sliced into rounds, about ⅛-inch thick)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (or coconut sugar)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Slice the Bananas
    • Peel the bananas and slice them into thin, even rounds (about ⅛-inch thick).
  • Coat with Cinnamon-Sugar
    • In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon.
    • Gently toss the banana slices with the coconut oil or melted butter, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over them.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer
    • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  • Air Fry
    • Arrange the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overlapping (work in batches if necessary).
    • Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until chips are golden and crisp. Watch closely near the end to prevent burning.
  • Cool & Serve
    • Transfer banana chips to a wire rack to cool completely. They will become crisper as they cool.
    • Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.

Notes

  • Banana Ripeness: Choose bananas that are ripe but still firm to avoid overly soft chips.
  • Sweetener Options: Coconut sugar offers a slightly healthier alternative with a hint of caramel flavor.
  • Storage: Best enjoyed fresh but can be kept in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
