Ingredients
Scale
2 ripe but firm bananas (peeled and thinly sliced into rounds, about ⅛-inch thick)
1 tablespoon coconut oil or melted butter
1 tablespoon granulated sugar (or coconut sugar)
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
Slice the Bananas
Peel the bananas and slice them into thin, even rounds (about ⅛-inch thick).
Coat with Cinnamon-Sugar
In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon.
Gently toss the banana slices with the coconut oil or melted butter, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over them.
Preheat the Air Fryer
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3–5 minutes.
Air Fry
Arrange the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overlapping (work in batches if necessary).
Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until chips are golden and crisp. Watch closely near the end to prevent burning.
Cool & Serve
Transfer banana chips to a wire rack to cool completely. They will become crisper as they cool.
Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
Notes
Banana Ripeness: Choose bananas that are ripe but still firm to avoid overly soft chips.
Sweetener Options: Coconut sugar offers a slightly healthier alternative with a hint of caramel flavor.
Storage: Best enjoyed fresh but can be kept in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
