Black Forest Cheesecake Delight

A rich and creamy cheesecake topped with tart cherries and chocolate, merging classic flavors into a divine dessert experience.

  • 1 ½ cups crushed chocolate graham crackers
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
  • ½ cup dark chocolate shavings

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine crushed chocolate graham crackers and melted butter. Press mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to create the crust.
  3. In another bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add vanilla and mix well.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Finish with sour cream until well combined.
  5. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center slightly jiggles.
  7. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour.
  8. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Before serving, top with cherry pie filling and sprinkle with chocolate shavings.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use mascarpone cheese instead of cream cheese.
  • Allow the cheesecake to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes before slicing for cleaner cuts.
